Through the years, the black spots has sort of enlarged and the fish
appears to be more “black” than “silver”. Playfulness has also
decreased as it use to move the gravels and PVC pipes around the
tank to merely staying at a corner and only occasionally flared its
gills when agitated.
As in
many Central American Cichlids, it has Hole in Head Disease (HIDD)
but this does not seems to have any adverse effects.
