Diet
: Herbivorous diet
primarily made up of
aufwuchs,
which is a type of green algae. Feed them vegetable flakes, pellets and occasionally
blench vegetables such as spinach and cucumber.
Breeding
: Mouth
brooders. Fries are released within 28 to 30 days.
Sexual
Difference : Males are
normally bigger but difficult to differentiate.

A
highly active tropheus but one of the easiest to keep. The young is quite
drab in colour till about 2 inches where the red coloring starts to show. The
red colours exemplify as they ages.
Maintain 1-2 males with groups
of females. Males are very aggressive and they should not be kept together
with "slower" fish such as Angels, Discus etc.
A tank of at least 55 gal is minimum
for a school of 12-15 Tropheus Moorii.
